Award-winning underwater filmmaker Matthias Lebo — who helped shape the UWACAM app for DIVEVOLK SeaTouch housings — has a confession to make: like many divers he knows, he simply can't stay away from Bonaire. His new short film, "Why I keep coming back to Bonaire…", tells the story of this truly magical place in just three minutes.
What makes Bonaire different is the freedom. Instead of fixed boat schedules, you grab a tank, load your truck and head off to explore the dozens of beautiful dive sites along the island's coast — whenever you want, as often as you want.

The film was created during Matthias's Underwater Video Workshop 2026 at Buddy Dive Resort on Bonaire. Some of the shots of Matthias filming underwater were contributed by workshop participants, as credited in the film.
You don't need a cinema camera to bring home colorful footage from Bonaire's reefs. Matthias's favorite smartphone setup is a DIVEVOLK SeaTouch 4 Max housing with the UWACAM app.
